As stated by California Content Standards students will be examining the social, cultural, and technological changes that occurred in Europe, Africa and Asia from the Medieval era to 1789. Students in seventh grade will further their understanding of ways in which archaeologists and historians uncover our past by discussing, analyzing, and exploring different geography, political systems, economic systems, religions, and social structures emphasizing the use of primary sources.
As students prepare for furthering their secondary education this course will continue their development as confident readers, writers and speakers. Collaborative and independent research will be used to foster deeper understanding of the history and geography of great civilizations throughout the world.
