8th Grade Social Studies: The United States Through Industrialism

Course Description

As stated by California Content Standards students will be analyzing United States history from the framing of the Constitution to World War I. Students in eighth grade will explore the history of different places, ideas, issues, events and peoples, emphasizing the use of primary sources.
 
As students prepare for high school curriculum this course will further their development as confident readers, writers and speakers. Collaborative and independent research will be used to foster deeper understanding of the development of American politics, society, culture and economy.
