Mr. Rojas

Hello TCVS families!

My name is Jorge Rojas. I have six years of teaching experience, and I am deeply passionate about teaching history as well as coaching cybersecurity. Additionally, I have two years of experience teaching computer science.
During my first year as a teacher, I instructed 6th-grade math CPM and history for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. In my second year, I focused on computer science and actively participated in IT & ICT. I also had the privilege of coaching a team that secured first place for the best cybersecurity Middle-School in the Far North Region in 2019.
I actively engage with the community, participating in events and programs supporting children's education. I served as a judge in the annual ACADECA event, providing students with feedback on public speaking and argument construction. I was also involved in the yearly National History Day, where I evaluated projects and witnessed students delve into history from topics of their interest. Additionally, I used to participate yearly with the teams I coach in cybersecurity competitions, competing in CyberPatriot, Cyber Innovation Challenge (San Luis Obispo), and the California Mayors Cup.
My hobbies include playing classical guitar, graphic design, and hiking.
Thank you for the warm welcome, and I eagerly anticipate the upcoming school year!

Best regards,
Mr. Rojas
