good afternoon good afternoon thanks for coming good afternoon thanks for being here happy Friday we don't have really a ton of new information I don't know that we really have any big news or anyting he wanted to make sure that we stuck to the schedule and we are here for any questions you might have so we'll lead with that does anyone have any questions any concerns and how things are going currently 9 if that changes let us know please as always please let us know since I always kind of Shanghai the start of this I'll just go ahead and say for Math and for social studies same expectations same things that you has been working with we took a social studies quiz today I managed to get them graded pretty quickly so they should be in illuminate and they should be in Google Classroom I will send them out to the kids email little later this afternoon until February 19th although I did ask students today to take the STAAR math test the star is that weird Adaptive One that they take something right now if they take on the computer and it basically will see how they do if they answer the 5th grade level questions well then it's going to give them some harder stuff they may see some things that are 6th or 7th grade math that's totally normal and it's actually a good sign have them do the best they can already Susan that I don't think there's anything else going on over here just Fisher house place in ela and science reiterated and encourages us is that the standard of the expectation that assessments are taken in class with cameras on so a responses are not accepted outside of class time I believe you know unless it's a free plan it doesn't seem to be an issue family updated illuminate student should have the updated grade for their science test Ela looking forward to finishing up our unit on writing the beginning of next week and starting our novels that was in the material pick up bag the students seemed really excited about it a few of them if piece of the novel I myself am excited to get started and and busy with those activities that aside from that I think everything going well we don't have any updates of schedule change at the moment so we're going to keep rolling with exactly the way we've we've been doing it and if these kids set up for success 1 plaid real quick the book fair orders are due on Sunday I've talked it up with the kids they've gotten on checked out some titles are interested in so you may want to check in with them and find out if there's any orders but they want to place a fair book fair bad ordering timeline ends on Sunday next week and then the following week are both 4-day weeks with President's Day next Friday yeah yep I was just going to say I think that's the old the highlights of the the last couple newsletters pretty much so I'm not you and I was more kind of yours that you had mentioned the transition to Art seems to be working well so far the kids will have science lab again on Monday correct the following Monday is that holiday as Miss Fisher mentioned but the Monday after that which I will have to look at these date that should be an Arctic correct so that it believes that the 22nd we saw we won with the money it'll just the rotation will go into effect as soon as we can so miss mrs. Federer gets her art time she's got fantastic project and as a reminder are is on grade cards the semester so keeping at the same time for science lab in art lab 12:30 to 1:30 usually we finished about 1:15 students have had the option the last couple weeks to go to Computer Lab in the morning computer lab we are sharing is optional it is recommended Miss heinrichs is excited to see and again and there are some valuable skills that she can take that time to teach them but we also understand that it's difficult for some families to be online quite so much so that's Monday from 9 to 9:45 and then let her know I'm sorry 9:15 to 10 and then 10:15 to 11 are the two times for that I think and that is optional as of right now any other questions Miss Fisher anything else that we want to touch him Giants that I selfishly when the kids finding off code word of the day so they know when I'm officially done today when we logged out of science they were allowed to quietly in the chat let me know that they finish their test and leave today they had to say go Chiefs at the end I let a few of them slip by with do bucks but I've worked hard all week to convert them to C-SPAN mesosphere sharing side effects of Matt it was a it was a great week I hope the kids had a great week it's going to be a beautiful weekend agree sound like that's all we've got someone asks is there a material pick up next Thursday I don't I don't think so no unfortunately we were hoping to try to set something up I know especially the social studies newspaper but I like the way that things have been going away the office is trying to coordinate it hasn't really worked out right now trying to share this material pick up situation with other grades and not bombard them for the most part what they need we will we may need to schedule another one but will before we do such make sure we're checking in with this land and this is Bednar are details to come if needed that students should have everything that they need online now I will ask because I have another parent ask if that maybe they were not able to get to the last student material pick up mrs. Fisher did you hear are we still last count there were three bags left so there are I mean that means that there's three students our families who hasn't picked up so they are labeled right inside the office door and have been labeled 5th grade if for some reason they haven't been picked up yet so we're not having people go through the office teachers or parents but presumably if you were able to get out of the school knock on the door they should be able to get it for you okay thank you bye mrs.
