good afternoon. How are you you're not very many people here should be pretty short anyway I don't like I said I don't really have much to share specially this time of the year but want to try to stay in the habit of doing these and we missed you around Thanksgiving thank you both love start I guess we're waiting to see if anybody else comes you have any other questions and concerns Yoakum turns I don't think and if anything I just have questions for you since Mom want to make sure I'm working all day. I don't deserve it but I don't have anything besides Google classroom I get on to that address and I appreciate your patience well that's a make sure we touch on that too I'll check in with you before we again I'm not really expecting very many people there isn't much to share next week and the week after generally speaking these weeks are usually pretty weird weeks anyway because the holidays with us not being School working on the things you normally work on what it looks like form Mass I am going to dial things back a little bit we're just going to practice doing some problem solving we're not going to start a new unit Spanish module 3 chapter 3 so I'm not going to start chapter 4 until we get back in January next 2 weeks for going to do a lot of problem solving basically reviewing for while reviewing the things that we just finished normally I would give an end-of-the-year kind of cumulative test and see how the kids are doing over the last three chapters that's not happening. I don't think that very many of them would feel confident than I do I will still review the material we're still going to go over it and talk about all of the fraction work we just did will talk about some of the place value and things we did earlier in the year but I'm not going to text them I'm going to test them I'm not going to give it a big deal to test cancel specific paste adapter test they'll take another man STAAR test but that is just to see where they're at with a no individual is not based on any particular material pecan open our social studies will continue with social studies is normal will do week 17 and week 18 finish up here with those hopefully if students if you were able to come by the school you have physical copies of both those newspapers I had a student tell me today that they didn't have a teen and I know not everyone has had a chance to go to the school and pick them up I'm sure it will still be available online so the newspapers will still be on Google classroom for kids to read but if they want a physical copy there were some in the office there was a big bundle that you if you're missing anything let me know email me Fisher is not able to attend today there's not a whole lot to share for ELA or science I know that she was working on rescheduling the diorama drive-through if she has managed to make that work that you probably know more I haven't heard so I'm assuming she still looking at a time when she can set that up for Chasing Vermeer I know that they're working on chapter 19 right now it was an issue this morning with the computer time announce not all the kids got that but as far as I know is just to continue moving through the book I think last I spoke with her she was dialing down some of what she normally does also but I don't want to promise that cancel plan to finish the book that's the plan they're going to work on Chasing Vermeer those are the big things I've got so far the other to the ramble about real fast are freckle and class suppose cause problems over the break I sent an email classcraft I'm excited to try but it wasn't quite as I thought I would walk the kids through a little bit more and it didn't there were a few next to it that I need to really go through with them as a group so we're going to be so disappointed that it turned out to be such a pain I'm sorry we're going to spend some time next week and see if we can iron things out crackle was very much the same as earned is there any has been in pain for a lot of students since they started I know that many students the hang of it and are doing great but I was not getting full class participation some people were still having trouble getting into it so we're done was earn for right now we're done was going for right now I'm going to try to have cyclebar replacement but you're not going to see a grade on that or anything as far as official homework for awhile same deal next week during my classes were going to just play with it we're going to all get into it we're going to explore where and when how it works voice message to that will be something that they can expect to see everything I want something that is more individualized for them something that my students who are moving faster than me can get in do and move at their own pace and learn more advanced I want to feel like I'm going to quit and too fast to have a more interesting way for them to come back and review I'm hoping it will be that because Zurn didn't end working that way but we'll find out questions for the night something that you do in the morning without having an assignment like you may go in and play or is it there specific assignment it's something that he can just go in and play come out there are two aspects to it possibly three like I said I'm learning to there is a practice aspect to it to XtraMath where they're basically just doing basic all mixed up so you'll get a little additional little subtraction or multiplication or division there is kind of a supposedly I hope I think there's a self-guided exploration were they go in they take an initial assessment the distance is okay this is where you're at and guides them on their own lessons and then there's a third aspect to it where I can specifically assigned something you're asking can he go in auronplay he should be able to XtraMath I know this is more an individual ask question does it end some point or will he be able to continue on at some point to I know that when I do know that one ends that one does end my recommendation especially just as kind of a quick review on XtraMath XtraMath the kids login every day they work on their basic facts for about 7-8 minutes where is a circle because even though that seems like an easier still from lower-grade I still need it so when they prove they can add quickly and efficiently we want a subtraction then the multiplication division most students take all year to get through all four students were very comfortable with the fact they blast through a lot faster I put them into a challenge mode they have half the time didn't see blast through that I put them in what I told the kids is called beast mode they have to do it in like a second and a half nursing students gets. For those students who do get to that one and a half seconds if they finish it there's nothing else I could reset them to do it again but I doubt anybody don't want to especially especially for students who are already if that's fast level once you finish the most division I am open also talking with families if we need to adjust it sooner than I already finished everything under 6 seconds and ever under 3 seconds Mastery this week but it's better than end of the week so here was just part of coming back after a break too so wish I think for all of us exactly I could tell I had to zoom meetings we got things that yeah it's that's why the next two weeks are going to be a little lighter thank you alright thank you any other questions again I know just come on the Stars has that they take are we it's mostly just for me for planning purposes if you interested I can certainly Prince up a diagnostic for you if you would like to see that if it doesn't go on the report card if not something that affects their great that way it's more just so I can look at the okay I have been teaching ABC how many students are getting at how many aren't they spend more time on it this particular student is struggling a specific area let's target that it's more for am I planning purposes alright anything else I can help with again thank you for being here in a short one that's all I got for today so go ahead and stop the recording mistlin if you wanted to touch base on Carson I'll stay but thank you for being here have a good weekend have a good weekend
