At Temecula Valley Charter School, we believe music is more than just a class—it’s a foundation for lifelong success. Our Vocal and Performing Arts program nurtures young voices, builds confidence, and sparks creativity from the very beginning.

It all starts in Transitional Kindergarten, where students joyfully explore rhythms, patterns, and basic musical concepts. These early experiences perfectly complement the reading and math skills they’re developing, strengthening memory, focus, and cognitive growth through the universal language of music.

In Kindergarten through 4th grade, the learning deepens. Students progress to more complex rhythms, harmonies, and musical numbers carefully aligned with their grade-level standards. Each year builds on the last, creating a strong musical foundation in a fun, supportive environment.

Beginning in 5th grade, students can choose Musical Theatre as an exciting elective. In middle school, the options expand with Show Choir, Musical Theatre, and a variety of other performing arts electives—allowing students to pursue their passions while developing poise, teamwork, and performance skills.

Our program doesn’t just teach music—it produces excellence. For the 2025-2026 school year, our Elementary Choir Cougar Crescendo (for 3rd–5th graders) was ranked #1 in Riverside County! Our Middle School Show Choir also earned the #1 ranking in the county. These achievements reflect the dedication of our students and exceptional instruction of our faculty.

Performing Arts students at TVCS shine on stage with two full-scale musical productions each year. Our award-winning Show Choir also embarks on an unforgettable annual trip across the United States to perform and learn from the best in the industry.

In 2025-2026, our students performed at the legendary Dollywood in Tennessee and spent an inspiring week in Nashville, touring university music departments, exploring the Country Music Hall of Fame, and participating in the Taylor Swift Song Writing Experience.

For the 2026-2027 school year, they’re headed to Universal Studios in Florida for another exciting performance opportunity!
