Temecula Valley Charter School Superintendent Dr. Charity Plaxton-Hennings has been named School Superintendent of the Year 2026 by Education Insider Magazine, earning a cover feature in the publication’s August 2026 edition.
In the feature, Dr. Plaxton-Hennings shares the leadership approach that has guided TVCS: building authentic relationships with families and staff, staying visible and accessible to the Cougar Family community, and keeping the school’s mission at the center of every decision. The piece also highlights one of the most visible projects of her tenure, the development of TVCS’s new permanent campus, a milestone more than three decades in the making, set to open in Spring 2027.
This honor adds to a growing list of recognitions reflecting the strength of the TVCS community, including designation as a Niche Best Schools honoree, Education Insider Top Charter School, and a California Purple Star School.
